Welcome! I’m Rachael – Big Dog Grooming’s proud Boss Lady

Since I was little, dogs have been a huge part of my life. Their loyalty, joy, and unique personalities are a constant source of happiness for me and I’m proud to say they have been my greatest teachers and most loyal friends.

I’ve always had an extra special bond with the gentle giants though — a fact that I thank my Great Dane “Walter” for. When out walking in public, Walter and I would be faced with lots of comments about his size with “you should put a saddle on that thing” coming in as the clear favorite. Sadly, people were so focused on Walter’s physical size that they neglected to notice that the biggest part of him was, in fact, his heart. He was loving and loyal and he showed it in a BIG way. Walter is the inspiration behind Big Dog Grooming, reminding me that when it comes to a dog’s love and loyalty, size matters!

Working with dogs every day is a dream come true. From the moment they step a paw into our Big Dog Grooming salon, we focus on making sure they feel at ease, with plenty of positive reinforcement and a space tailored to their size and needs.
